The FDA says drugs are used to treat genital herpes and warts should not be used for any other reasons.
In a statement released to CBS News, the FDA said drugs were discontinued after the FDA received five reports of deaths and 13 serious adverse events occurring in patients taking the drugs.
The Ampicillin birth control pills FDA said it is urging patients to stop using the drugs immediately.
The five deaths were reported in California, New York, Texas, Maryland and Washington.
"Consumers who use the three brand names of triamcinolone-1 acetonide cream should stop using these products immediately and contact their healthcare provider," the FDA said.
